Max the Modern Pet is a Maltipoo, and he is our family’s dog. We always wanted a dog, and when I felt my kids were old enough to handle the responsibility of a dog then the search began.
A Maltipoo is a mix of Maltese and Poodle. We were able to get Max as a puppy, and followed a wonderful training program! Max is currently 18 pounds, understands many common words, and knows 5 commands!! He is so smart, and he knows a treat is coming.
He is the heart of our family! He loves to be with us at all times. No matter what we’re doing Max is happy to go along for the ride, or just lay on one of our laps relaxing at home. He loves to snuggle with us!
He is also a wonderful guard dog, although I doubt he realizes how small he actually is in comparison to real guard dogs. He will bark at any strange sound he hears when he feels we may be in danger. He gets really excited if he sees a cat walk by our door! We can’t even say the word ‘cat’ without him running to look outside!
